Carpets
The carpet in Algeria has long been everyone's business All rural households had a weaving loom and it was part of traditional apprenticeship given the importance of sheep farming The Algeria carpet is noted for its authentic shapes and styles, even though crossed with modern touches nowadays.
There are four major
carpet regions in eastern Algeria the great Nememchas and Haracas tribes in the
Aures make original red, blue, and black colored carpets.
In the regional Setit, the Guergour carpet considered a luxury reveals Anatolian influences through
floral arrangements. The Djebel Amour symbolizes the Hauts Plateaus art This
thick woolen carpet, called frach usually red and black is decorated with
simple geometric figures. The carpet of the Qal'a of Beni Rached. like that of
Ait Hichem in Kabylia, stands out by its Berber patterns.
Finally, Algeria has many other weaving products. less known but equally original and amazingly beautiful the Oued Souf carpets, the reversible draperies of Kabylia, the rugs of Ysguen the light draperies of Ghardaia, or the tanchera of the Mzab, which holds an important place in local tradition…
Pottery

Kabylia
is one of the regions that have best-preserved ancient art with a variety of
objects ranging from vases to saucepans, jars, and jugs. This pottery is very
much alive for its close relationship with Algerian cuisine: tagines for sauce

City
pottery is more decorative and marked by Islamic art and beautiful decorations
using Arabic calligraphy, floral and geometric patterns.
